Random music babble

This "Unity Athens 2004" album appears to have been made up in the following manner: put paper strips with the names of prestigious producers in one hat, rappers in a second hat, and famous "world music" vocalists in a third hat. Shake hats, pick combinations at random. I mean, Brian Eno and Rachid Taha?

It was a pretty good track, though. Can't say the same for some of the others.

Didn't Hikaru Utada (listed simply as Utada) have a track on that CD? Was her song not good? I'm looking forward to her new English album coming out this fall...

No, it wasn't good. XD But I am not sure why, it's just weird to be able to understand her lyrics. :S

It's pretty generic, despite (or perhaps because of) the Timbaland production, and not a very strong tune. But then, sporting event official albums rarely are chock full of strong tunes. ^^; And I don't think she was the one who wrote it, just the guest vocalist.

My fave on that album is just Pass the Flame. ^^;; IMHO, Harmony is far better. XD;
