Once again a straight text dump from Remiel's file, so there are question marks and bits missing here and there. Let me put it this way: if the Sanskrit is off, don't even look at me. XD
(Though in all seriousness I think I will have to add to this page as well, if only to translate the missing terms from the ackchul glossary in the back of the novel. Yup, Charmian, this too is an extensively glossarized enterprise. ^^;)
I'm on page 125 of the novel, halfway through. It's not only easy to read, it's short. ^^; It is a book, though, not an anime or a manga. The differences are subtle enough that I can't really explain it better, not when part of me is still waiting for the other shoe to drop (it's very similar to the sensation I remember from when I was 11 and starting Shakespeare. XD Henry IV out of the library, no beginner footnotes. It was tough going for the first few pages of blank verse, and then I found I could understand it. What I didn't get was how. It's a really weird feeling, like someone dropped a babelfish into one's ear). OTOH skimming this glossary allows me to formulate one difference at least: while watching the anime one feels absolutely no curiosity as to the meaning of those abracadabra chants. XD Read the book, and all of a sudden it becomes "world-building". I don't RP, but damned if I can't recognise when something's begging to be reworded as a tabletop RPG settei.
