Is anyone out there

1) a fanartist

2) conversant with Prince of Tennis + a wide range of other anime/manga series '95-present

3) up to doing multiple sketches of various characters in style of obnoxious hipster party amateur photography? Think MySpace, ONTD, American Apparel, Ryan Ross without the coke. I am a horrible person but srsly I LOLed so hard at that

Uh... I guess the main characters would be Oshitari, Atobe and the rest of Hyoutei, and Takahashi Ryousuke from Initial D (the rationale is lost in the mists of time and my LJ but I remember it being hilarious). Unless it's one of those things where Oshitari never shows up because they're his photos. Still. Bleach, Ouran, Nana, a bunch of CLAMP series.

I might branch off and do a guestblog in the visual style of Adam Green. This is probably one of those "shared wavelength" things isn't it.

Multiple artists are allowed? Could make it a group collab thing. XD;

*EDIT* Oh yeah and it needs stuff like classic Interview covers, cos I've written that in. XD;; Like SSBB though, you wouldn't have to do the lettering nonsense.

th-that sounds like a lot of fun

if I can wiggle out of one of my time/life-sucking commitments maybe I would be up for being one of your multiple artists? when are you going to be needing these?

that is a very long time!

I'd be totally up for helping out in that case. I'm really just swamped for the next month, but after that I should have time. also my specialty is in failing to finish drawings properly, so maybe we will be a fabulous fit!

oh and also: my pop culture knowledge is pretty spotty, I don't even know what classic Interview magazine is, but could probably with a nudge in the right direction google up enough reference to fake it convincingly? or maybe you will have someone else volunteer to do that bit leaving me to do fanart in the style of obnoxious hipster party photography, whee.

I think it's kind of hilarious, really. It happened AFTER PatD had announced they're splitting into two, so you know. It could be drugs but I actually take them seriously when they say musical differences, because if he wasn't on drugs when they wrote their last album...
I had to Wiki to get the Libertines reference, I have no rock cred at all!

With only a peripheral knowledge of Prince of Tennis, I think all of that is perfectly logical. XD

yes yes yes to IniD + POT + Bleach + Ouran + fashionista lovefest. i'm planning to sign up anyway, but basically i just want to draw my favorite characters as "random people w/ eclectic style as photographed by The Sartorialist" xD so it would be very cool if our intentions already converge.

(also it would also be very cool to collaborate with you on anything!)

also there actually is just enough 80s' style coming back for Ryousuke to continue wearing his enormous blue shirt and white slacks lol

awesome! I think when you left off you hadn't hit Ouran yet so there is a potential gold mine there xD

either DW or carnet is fine, I tend to read DW at the office and LJ at home (where it is not blocked) xD

just saw the Adam Green blog, many many lols. kind of imagine Oshitari's version would probably be a middle-to-high society version of that though (given that he hangs out with uh Atobe Keigo, whose belt probably always matches his shoes)
