From [livejournal.com profile] morning_songs, though I think I've seen it before. (I wrote out poems to make the sample more interesting. XD The snippet of Coleridge I use for all filler text purposes; Ye Xiaoluan is a poet of the Yuan dynasty, the youngest of three sisters. She died at the age of seventeen, just before she was to have been married. And tanka by my beloved Tawara Machi.)

It's rather obvious to me that Japanese is the only language in which I've had recent practice in pen-on-lined-paper writing. ^^; My English hand is usually much less curly, spare little shapes like my hiragana.

OH MY GOD. YOU ARE SO NEED. IN ALL 3 WAYS.

.... I can never be that neat. It's just against my nature or something. XD

Ahaha, it screams anal-retentive Asian female in three languages. :P I have the Chinese hand of someone who never writes per se, only copies text from books; which bothers me not a little.

When I was at school I used to try to make my notes as neat as humanly possible. That and doodling were how I kept boredom at bay, after I got too old to build dollhouses in my desk.

.... XDDDDDDD WHICH I AM NOT. You should see my room. AHAHAHA.

...

God. I should try to be neat. Then I may be able to read ALL of my notes, for once, not just most. 8D;

And I meant 'neat', not 'need' before. My brain's so fried. XD

XDDD I was the girl with the sloppiest handwriting in my class all through junior high, high school and college; the girls here seem to be born writing in copperplate. o_o

Dude, your writing is impossibly beautiful in content and form. *seethes with envy*

Well, the content's not exactly mine, y'know. XD;;;

*rolls* I meant your writing in general, of course.

You built dollhouses in your desk? ...Awwwwwwwwwwesome!

Also, I love your handwriting; the precise little strokes are almost as charming as your super-kawaii g.

I built dollhouses, I think, all the way up to the first or second year of high school, at which point we stopped having homeroom and those desks with the swing-up tops (and I think I got caught at one point and was told to clean it out XD). It got pretty elaborate, with furniture made out of play-doh and matchboxes and yarn and paper. ...Thinking back on it I was always abysmal at paying attention in class, though it only got to be an issue in university when not listening meant falling behind, and there was nothing to do crammed into those auditorium bucket seats but twitch and tap one's foot. ^^;

My handwriting deteriorated ever since I started using keyboards (and typewritters, yes I've been through that stage) - or was never "consistent/straight" (whatever qualities people usually use to define "nice" handwritting) in the first place. XD On the other hand, when I was taking Chinese last year, I could always feel proud of the quality of my calligraphy. Even my parents and grandparents thought the characters were nicely drawn. (I shall participate in one of the Livejournal memes eventually. :D)

Dude. dude.

Your handwriting is so perfect. So perfect. It looks like a computer font. I love your L's and your D's, and the half-cursive, and dude, I am fangirling your handwriting o__o

Also! Your chinese. SO NEAT. SO COMPACT. My chinese looks elementary ._.

Wow...impressive and easy to read handwriting :D Alas, my handwriting does not fall into either of the two categories ^^;;

AHA! Lined paper! So different, your handwriting. Strange, I would have guessed your handwriting be more curvy on unlined than lined paper. ^^

And your Chinese handwriting kicks ass. All the bi(3) hua(4) sho clear and erm, neat. Dood, I am jealous. <-- had to redo Chinese homework too may times because the teacher hate the bi hua. And guts. XD;;;

Ah, a witness to the difference. XD I dunno, I think ballpoint on lined paper throws me back to my high-school note-taking hand. I'll try pencil on unlined paper and see if it comes out any different. *scribbles* Oh, it does. It really does.

You know, I remember in Uni, when you'd miss a class, I'd go out of my way to take down the notes in my neatest handwriting possible so they'd be legible for you to copy.

And then I'd take a look at your handwriting. In comparison, my stuff looked like it was writen by a four year old with a crayon clenched in her fist.

(And you must find out how to say 'meme' en français, because now I want to know.)

Oh, man, your handwriting puts mine to shame (although, uh, not hard to do). Actually, if you made a font out of it, I'd use it. :D The Fs and the Gs are so very pretty.
