Mostly dead to the world and fandom alike
Mar. 24th, 2004 12:17 amWatching Initial D again as planned, for the sixth or seventh time - conservatively speaking. I really don't ever get tired of this series, it's such a classic. Cars! Boys! Happy hardcore! I need to get my Second Stage DVDs back from Justin. O-Maguro (she whines), watch it with me, you knoooow you want to hear rei no seiyuu at it for the umpteenth time. ...Come to think of it, do Koyasu-tachi owe Avex money or something?
(I see Wen's fallen to FMA...? XD;; 何よ…あたし一人ぼっちじゃん,今…)
Less cryptic impressions on Read Or Die: no doubt there will be a real plot soon that ties in with the story of the OAV - I've spotted Mr. Gentleman, I think - but meanwhile there's Nenene. Oh the sisters are very cool and funny and weird and easy to empathise with and all, but at this point for me it's the Nenene show. Yuki Eiri reborn as a no-guff-taking tweedy megane-ko, and you get the feeling her books are more literate to boot.
Cannot cope. Must order GB and PMK manga.

Date: 2004-03-24 07:32 am (UTC)I'm merely waiting for them to go "OK, fuck this shit", and get it on with the dancing. Or, I dunno, start raving or something. Area 88 TV *so* could use musical interludes (...than *aren't* happy hardcore...)

though fools never differ.
and ...to iu koto? ^^;;; Ja, Yumiko wa?
mwa? limited knowledge of Japanese, though the question is, do I really want to know what you think of Yumiko. I personally thought Yumiko was like the previous Sanzo that our Sanzo had such a hangup about. You know looking into the distance, and being angsty about. It's just that we know Yumiko is still alive ^__^

Date: 2004-03-24 10:20 am (UTC)...well, yes, it will make you cry. and hurt. and laugh. and then cry again. and you will lose your mind none too slowly waiting for the next precious, precious episode. but I'm perfectly content to fan without the trappings of fandom, which makes it relatively low-maintenance.* And damn but it's gorgeous in nearly every possible way.
* results may vary, especially since my soul is currently unavailable, having been hijacked by pirates, and there are documented cases of extreme HagaRen pwn1ng...
