[livejournal.com profile] luxetumbra, got packages. Why in the name of the good green earth would you have to apologise for your hard drive? You are my hero.

(That being said, I'm currently handling those FMA discs with tongs. Tongs, I say. XD;;)

Currently halfway through episode 68 of TeniPuri. As for manga - it looks like I'm going to have to start following scanlations in Chinese, she says cheerfully. Not that I have anything intelligent to say about the storyline: 209 could basically be summed up as INUI PLS DO MY SANITY A FAVOUR AND NEVER REMIND ME OF TOUYA AKIRA EVER AGAIN KTHX, and I can't think about 210 because the kawaii liquifies my cerebellum. (Sort of like the end of the Cards Arc out of GetBackers, except that - ahem - wasn't what you might call the kawaii. Whatever else you might call it. XD) There's something disturbingly maternal happening here; I've no particular desire for children but common sense would indicate that the only kind of boychild I have a statistic hope of producing would be a skinny geeky thing with inch-thick glasses, who even if you made him do sports extracurriculars would end up getting nicknamed "hakase" by his tennis doubles partner. (ARGH THE CUTE) Maybe if I raise him well he won't turn out too much of a gay stalker. Or maybe I should just stick to Plan A and perpetual singlehood.

I think FET is still doing the most current chapters, but only releasing them on mIRC. :3 If you need any of the old chapter that either Mangacity or FET scanned, just say the word. X3

Thanks for the offer, I might take you up on it. ^^; (I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do. This because my *cough* mother is following the series as well, but in Chinese tankoubon, and I want to slore my sister but she won't read scanlations.)

I sort of hope that FET keeps up with the summaries. That's all I've ever wanted, really, but ah well.

I can't comment on Yanagi and Inui 'cause it would just be too fangirlish right now.

Someone will summarise, I imagine. (Fandom's like Blanche DuBois, all about depending on the kindness of strangers.)

Noooo, fangirl along with me... ^^;;

heheh, no more TeniPuri for you, missy. You have to watch FMA asap so poor [livejournal.com profile] worldserpent doesn't have to take the brunt of my fangirling alone.

Wah, you're mean! XD

(I have to finish Matantei Loki Ragnarok first. At this point it's more a question of disc space than anything else. ^^;)

People on my flist are going to kill me, but I think FMA is better, from what I've seen. ^_~ <--- obnoxiousness.

Myself, I'm watching just PoT, Gunslinger Girl, and FMA at this point. I'm cursorily following PMK, but I realize that everyone is in the manga fandom.

So PoT is going to end in about 8 eps, and Gunslinger Girl is going only until 13, I believe. That leaves FMA, which ends at 52, and PMK, which ends at ?

Likely it is. I'm at ep.8 of Loki; it's cute and enjoyable and all, but I'm feeling no special urge toward analysis. XD Probably I just don't know or care enough for Norse mythology for clever reference squee. (And in any case I can't technically finish it, as I don't have past ep.17. ^^;)

I've always thought PMK was unlikely to run longer than 26, but it depends on how much filler they manage to cram into the frame of the thing. >_>

I know a bit about Norse mythology, but I am a thrills and spills angster. Sure, Loki does have angst somewhere, I've heard, but I prefer the more overt sort.

What, PMK will end with the Ikeda-ya incident. BTW, am I right that Yoshida killed Tetsu's parents? And how do all the supernatural events relate to the main story about the Shinsengumi?

Yoshida didn't, actually. Or so it seems to me. I have the nasty impression Kurono's waiting to spring something, but it may just be my paranoia at work. ^^; As for the supernatural schtuff, I actually haven't the slightest. That all falls in the Kurogane part of the manga chronology, and I'm only halfway through vol.2.

Yeah, I just watched the anime and haven't gotten any of the manga, so I assumed that the reason that Tetsu freaked out so much when Yoshida broke up their little party at the brothel was that he subconsciously recognized Yoshida. Or maybe Yoshida recognized *him* because of family resemblance? Does Yoshida bother to know what the pages of the Shinsengumi look like? Or maybe he just disapproves of Suzu having friends.

I think the Mythical Detective Loki Screencap Recaps (http://nyahnyah.net/blog/loki/loki.html) may convince you to watch more Loki >D [^_-]

No, I agree, you are correct. XD

And [livejournal.com profile] petronia, I remember you saying something about how much you like brother-brother dynamics. Trust me, you really want to watch this show. Really. It's all for your own enjoyment (and not because I want to read the delightfully entertaining fangirling that will result ^_~)

...maybe if I spam her with hot Japanese fanart everyday...;D

Why tongs? It's not one of the ones I'd recommend tongs for...live action Sailor Moon on the other hand >D [which I do like...as it's so bad XD]

...FMA and then tako-sashimi?! You dangle too much temptation in front of me!

(Right. The World is to blame and I am just an innocent bunny. XD

Erm. Done with the HW and JC folders, many thanks. Don't know if you would like some of HW's stuff other?)

HW: yesh pwease! Any and all. Though I have Jealous Of Your Cigarette and Striptease. (Let's do it this way logistics-wise: given that we're the only ones in this folder, just delete whatever I uploaded that you've finished dl'ing, and vice-versa for me. ^_^)

Of course the world is to blame. The anime follows me around and bites me in the shins. XD

(sparkles all over 210)

i always thought renji was the one who reminded me of touya akira, though...inui reminds me of x's fuuma but no, i can't support that XD

and "hakase" -- thank you! i've been looking for that word ^^;

Re:

From: [identity profile] petronia.livejournal.com
Well, Renji has the hair. (I wish he didn't.) But Inui has the internal calendar. I am trying to consider the inevitable slash and all I can think is that the wuvtalk must be a holy incomprehensible terror to the onlooker. It's a mess of statistics and finishing each other's sentences when they're playing against each other.

And Inui with eyes! That's like seeing Dilbert with eyes. It's an international UN-sanctioned holiday is what it is.

heheh the finishing each other's sentences thing strikes the unwary as an enlightened form of foreplay, yeah.

by the way! i haven't said this before, but thank you SO MUCH for the mp3s! i've been hunting for ozaki yutaka samples for AGES. T_T

it might be a while before i finish downloading though...how long will you have them up?

Hey, someone else who likes Ozaki Yutaka. :D They'll be up until... whenever, really, I can never keep to a fixed schedule. ^^; Commonly about two weeks.

Am reading [livejournal.com profile] midorinomizu and [livejournal.com profile] tongari's fic. Waaah angst.

two weeks, check ;) i haven't really heard any ozaki yutaka, myself. he just comes very, very, VERY highly recommended, so i've been curious for the longest time ^^ thank you again!

angst. god, yes. and GOOD angst which, ironically, makes me truly glad to be alive :D

Yup. ^_^; (Uh. Before you ask - fluent in English and French, fluent but badly-schooled in Chinese i.e. cannot write, passable Japanese i.e. can read comics and watch TV and survive as a tourist but that's about it, can sort of read Spanish squinting sideways, smattering of high school Latin.)

Would Chinese scanlations be of any use? ^^;
