And it's not even Christmas!
Jan. 28th, 2004 11:07 pmOrnamental balls: so obviously the theme of the week.
AnimePop@Petronia has been provided with a 1:20 sample of the infamous TeniPuri Onyanko Club cover I sort of pop-blogged in my last entry (thankee agin,
starlighter), off RajiPuri it sounds like. Our reviewers think - oh, the HELL I'm kidding - if you're waffling over ordering the single, which you're not because there are basically two kinds of fangrrls in these cases, the ones who don't buy such things and the ones who pre-ordered their copies last month - you may as well. It is all kinds of Special. By itself you could toss it on the scale to balance out an entire chibi episode. Mind you I probably only think this because I have the appropriate Onyanko-Club-inspired mental visuals to go with it, but trust me, you'll get the visuals too. The beauty of circa-eighties retro-sixties sha-la-la girlpop is that the imagery it conjures up is pretty much universal.
(It sounds like every other Onyanko Club song I've heard, or more precisely, like a cross between La Bamba and Summer Nights. Man, now there's a tune they should rip off for TeniMyu!
"Tell me more / tell me more / like how fast is his serve?")
Alex sez she would never bet against Suwabe Junichi; I would amend that to, never bet against Suwabe Junichi when there is the opportunity for CAMP.
