(This fandom appears to have on days and off days. Odd, that. Or maybe it just depends on hours of sleep and number of g&ts in the system. ...Working on the third currently, counting the one that was actually half a cranberry plus raspberry vodka.)

Damned, the animation is nice. All of a sudden the various little bits and pieces fall into a coherent whole: the story, the character designs, the animation, the seiyuu, the music. Soshite (anime dakara atarimae kamoshiren kedo), BL factor upped by about 100%. XD As in moved from "background" to "distracting".

Should really stop here and go to bed, though - long day of work looming tomorrow, and I've been riding so high on false euphoria** this afternoon that I'm due for a crash. Darn it.

...Made Ced chase down White Love for me over filesharing. XD Was jonesing for Christmas jpop, which is the only kind of Christmas music I really like anymore. They're sad love songs one and all, which brings out the wistfulness and sense of time passing that I enjoy about the holiday season; without a bit of melancholy there's no depth to the joy. Plus cheerful Christmas songs are the worst earworms.

**Is normal. I go on caffeine cold turkey during the weekend, apart from a few sips of sencha. Then on Monday, the usual two large cuppas hit the system of a morning, followed by about a liter of tea...

EDIT -- starlighter, would you actually, er, like it better if I wrote TezuFuji? ^_^;;; Because I've been thinking about it. And thinking about it. ...And thinking about it. I think my brain naturally needs to latch onto a "hard" proof to gnaw on during free processor cycles (what free processor cycles?), like that twisty wooden toy without any ends that Belgarath gave Polgara to play with when she was a baby. I've been missing a pairing to figure out ever since I solved Ginji x Akabane.

Maa, I don't really see the slash so much even in the anime. ...Well, okay, yes, I do see it in the same way that I see building slash on campus, but it just doesn't grab me. Not in the same way building slash does. (Hee, building slash.) Ah well.

I've had dreams about Shinsengumi tennis, basically due to overflow of stimuli. But seriously, it can't be any weirder than abacus-skating marathons. And how better to deal with tragic historical deaths than a high school AU?

Well, it's not on the level of PMK, which doesn't so much grab as pick one up by the collar and start choking. But very few things are on that level anyway. ^^;

...Hot and cold, I rather suspect. But they're different enough that it takes a gearshift in mentality: one's shounen fantasy, the other's dark-shoujo-ish historical, and this one's sports. So there's very little competing overlap. I'd best not collect any more for the moment, though. *g*

...Wow, obviously the wank crack of the TeniPuri fandom is mighty. But then I should expect it of such a juggernaut. *g* ...Weepy!Fuji? Whoa.

I think it really is that Tezuka and Fuji have a combined set of traits that reminds me of me and various people I have or might have dated, remixed. That is to say, just by looking at it my experience-derived instinct is to say that they'd fall apart out of some combination of reserve, over-intellectualisation, stubbornness, competitiveness and pathological independence, and must then ask myself, what the hell could I the Dea Ex Machina writer stick in there to override all that? ^^; Currently I'm leaning toward overwhelming illogical sexual fascination.

Sabina - I want to see TezuFuji from you, too. ^_^ A good number of ficcers write them (more than for TezuRyo/FujiRyo, AFAIK), but my personal opinion so far is this: Prufrock and Meia and Alex write TezuFuji (and Aishuu does an occasional IMO-decent one), and other people *try* to. Period. XD

Fuji has a head like a maze, and Tezuka's head is not a comfortable place to be in. >_<

As per the perspicacity of Ryuuzaki-sensei: Tezuka ain't your average junior high boy, bebes. Neither is Fuji (oh, NONE OF THEM ARE, Sabina's right, they're *cracked* XD) Complexness makes them Fun (perspective pending), but sometimes it gets, eh, overdone? Considering that they lead Normal And Stable Lives as compared to people like, hm, Sakuragi and oyaji-died-before-me. But that's not the best example ever. XD;; Anyway, talking about psychological complexness, which I won't do in case I get flayed for being an ass, the way Alex and you stew over them is fine. I just hate people who attribute what complexity they have to secret fucked-up family lives, etc. It's such a cheap way out.

I'm sure you already know this, but, I mean, of course Okita sounds like older MakubeX, they're both voiced by Saiga Mitsuki XD;;;

(more amusing to me is Paul = Gourry = Dick Saucer = Hiro [from Gravi]. good lord. The seiyuu hilarity does not stop. XD)
