Nov. 15th, 2003 12:53 am(Welcome, new people who friended me! I am not usually this maniacal about the manga I read, I swear. XD But at least you missed the month of not being able to talk about anything but GetBackers.)
Went shopping today at Renaud-Bray. Forget the manga selection, I could easily drop two hundred bucks in that store on nothing but novels by contemporary Chinese authors published in France (it could be my umpteenth hobby!). I think it's a testament to my self-restraint that I walked out with only about 30$ worth of merchandise: Kawabata's The Master of Go (birthday present for the obvious victim), Nana #6 and - uh - Ugetsu Monogatari. XD Mostly because it was a stroke of luck that I found it at all. It's all very well for the publisher to print family name first in the Asian manner, but if the lowly bookstore peon shelves it wrong... >_< Ueda Akinari thus ended up under A, and I only came across the book as I was reshelving Akutagawa, who'd ended up under R. (Anal-retentive? Surely you jest.)
Also bought the new Hawksley Workman single, on a whim. ...Okay, because he covers Love Will Tear Us Apart on the b-side (as it turns out, very... very... sl...ow...ly). You will note that I never claimed not to be easy. XD
Very tired but am rather putting off going to bed. Last night I dreamt brokenly of Shinsengumi tennis intramurals. No doubt I was asking for it, but I fear tonight it will be Seigaku hitokiri.
