Bebel Gilberto - All Around (Telefon Tel Aviv Mix)

Grabbed it off another lj, posting here so canis_m will see it. XD The original track is warm organic bossa nova, but I'm not sure I don't like this better. It has more of the airy wistfulness that I associate with her first album, like a childhood memory of a cool white room in a faraway Southern country.

Chara - Tiny Tiny Tiny

From her (first?) Best Of album. Old R&B soulful, in Chara's sweetness-and-light way. In the right mood this song makes me tear up; I'm not a big believer in the existence of unconditional love (as opposed to love that perseveres even when its vocal demands are not met, for good or for ill), but sometimes Chara can phrase it in a way that makes sense.

It turns out that Mystery Mail yesterday was Amazon after all. This is good, first because it means all the packages I was awaiting have arrived while I'm still in the country, and secondly because now I have Mirage of Blaze novels for the plane. >D They're pretty much perfect for the purpose, methinks.
