...Belatedly, people actually relate song lyrics back to their Real Life? As opposed to dorky extrapolations of their favorite novels, comics and TV shows live-action or animated? Damn.

And damned if I don't feel like posting lyrics now, purely for the niftyness factor (like several people I know who post poetry, and appreciated it is too, because I don't have enough hours in the day to track down good poems). Except if people actually took them to be an expression of my mood I'd be in trouble, because songs I like tend to be either murderous or pornographic. Or the ironic ramblings of gay British men unlucky in love.

(Also, I've written several pages of an original story. The next one is definitely going to be Baroness Orczy pastiche, because I have to break myself off writing yaoi in the style of William Gibson. That shit won't fly, j0.)

You'd have to have exposure to either French or, er, Indonesian pop to know who I mean - probably - but this singer called Anggun? She did that 'la neige au sahara' song that was umpteen times overplayed a few years ago (as well as a bunch of other hits, but that's the one I remember). I just managed to figure that out, given that I rarely pay attention to who actually sings the songs on the radio.

I'm supposed to be having Easter dinner with her on Sunday. Damned if I know how this one came about. I can't even get Google to confirm that she lives here.
