Fic-related post, dammit!

Contrary to the vile canard, I *have* been writing. I just can't post any of it. First of all because it's been a slow slog in bits and pieces, and secondly because none of the stories would support it properly. I have nearly ten pages of 'Open/Close' but the sheer impossibility of the thing demands that I keep it private until it's done, at which point its existence in and of itself will at least prevent accusations of impossibility. The IniD fic is... annoying me for reasons of lack of Keisuke. It deals with issues leading up to tankoubon 15, but mentally I'm stuck in tankoubon 23, which is quite a different proposition. Plus I'm too kind to post sex scenes in three-paragraph increments.

The Vagrant Story fic - ah, now there's progress! The VS fic has finally found its structure! What was an egregiously horrendous mishmash of plot ideas has now resolved itself into an arc: one long story concerning Duke Bardorba's Dealings With Darkness and the fallout therefrom, another long story which is basically my theory as to WTF was up with Ashley, and the other little snippets (Merlose fm supervisor lady's POV, Hardin in the vineyard) as little snippets. Don't laugh now, but there's no yaoi. There's no reason there *couldn't* be, but I'm so enamoured of the other stuff that I keep forgetting to add it. Writing it all is going to be a problem.

Then there's tBD, as per the usual. But don't let me keep you awake now.

P.S.: Everyone who's on my friends list and has been posting fic lately - I am reading it all and love you beyond question. All of you. (And special beyond equal luckykitty - I've never touched Tekken in my life, mind you, but this call out takes in the several consecutive months of enjoyment I've gotten out of your fic snippets to date, werewolves and all. Miserable ungrateful sod that I am.)
