petroniaBlogging from a dinner party, again - I love social gatherings but the Getaway Period seems to be hardwired in, and I react with sympathy when I see other people due for their own. FWIW, Thanksgiving (with family and family friends at the Birdcage) is tomorrow. Tonight is Angstgiving (with the urban tribe, or at least one extremely pleasant urban tribe I'm on the periphery of), which frankly sounds like a seasonal fanfiction challenge in the making. Catchiest neologism I've heard all month. There's still turkey, so it's all good.
This is a very large, very clean house that has computers networked for LAN games, and dark wooden bookcases built into the walls that go up to the ceiling and need to be reached by ladder. Also, lots of comic books and wine.

The house is actually fairly empty of living bric-à-brac like houseplants or graduation photos, but by wandering through the rooms I come across, say, a Love And Rockets postcard set lying on a radiator. Or a cinnamon shaker marked "100% Arrakeen melange - caution: excessive use causes dependency".)
