Last night. Peking duck with a party of thirty(!) followed by three whole hours of karaoke with a party of five, Tania and Erin included. All manner of songs by artists that I'd normally never have essayed, such as B'z and BSB, and the oddest accidental selection of videos as well; input "Killing Me Softly..." and got a Chinese concert version, ended up dubbing Vic Chou halfway through. There was another Chinese pop song that was, in fact, an Irish stomper - musically speaking, I mean, but I'd never have noticed if the stage show didn't feature Irish dancing. ^^; Was in better voice than usual for some reason, or at least that's what it felt like. Could actually sing Queen and hit the sames notes as Freddy Mercury at the right times.

Ced got amusingly tipsy and took a gazillion candid digicam shots. XD

Translations! she sighs. Should've found spare time to work on them this week, but decided to be selfish and watch Ghost in the Shell instead. Anyhow with Wen's scans included, there's only(??) four more chapters to go before I skip back in time. I think of them as follows:

• 27. In which Kurusu Masaki is ominous.
• 28. In which Juubei bitches Shido out for being a bad boyfriend.
• 29. In which Akabane is inexplicably angst-filled.
• 30. In which Ginji fights undead mud pirates.

Much hilarity intentional and unintentional, as you may have deduced. Somewhere in all this there's also Emishi and Amon (obviously the TwoTowers!Merry and Pippin of this storyline. "...Meanwhile, STILL walking through the woods...") pointillating at a renewed onslaught of lesbian spider women, and Ban 'n' Himiko 'n' Kagami who're stuck with the thankless task of advancing the plot in an intelligent fashion. Poor babies.

EDIT -- Goodness, she says bemusedly, there are currently more people hitting the site through BishonenWorks than the Yaoi Shrine and Bishink put together.

... I wanna read that.

And Ced's put the pictures up. We really should not allow that boy to have a camera when drunk. A good third are strange shots taken while we took the bus to Tania's. One of them has, like, her head at a weird angle, and behind her is some random guy on the bus. And lots of very startled-looking self-portraits.

Karaoke was fun! (Even with all the inexplicable Korean songs.)

Found the PopJustice website. Oh, my god, their second-by-second analysis of the new PSB single... And then this: "[Johnny Cash] is a man whose career lasted almost half a century. Go and have a look for his stuff on Kazaa - it's well worth the $2000 fine"... I have no idea who the folks are that run this site, and already I love them.

Yeah, and alcohol and too much Cpop that night made me hum New Order? o_O;
