Back from the movies
Jul. 26th, 2003 12:56 amI'm six films behind on my FantAsia reviews, dammit.
Tonight were two Japanese films: Drive and The Man In White (which is somehow what they made of Yurusarezaru mono in translation). The latter is a Miike Takashi film, which from internal evidence was probably shot after his cameraman bet him a six-pack of Asahis that he couldn't show stylistic restraint for an entire 120min long métrage. He makes it, almost. ...In case I forget before I write the full review, which is entirely possible: if you're reading this and you like yakuza tattoos, the full-body kind where the pretty bearers thereof have to be naked for one to appreciate - well, I name no names but you know who you are. XD Do yourselves an aesthetic favour and find a copy of this film, k bai.
So sleepy. Going to bed. Chibi Jack will be GIP'd by acclamation. Next up is HnG à la Calvin and Hobbes, no doubt; 90% of my fanart ideas are aniparo.
