I was reading - *takes bracing breath* - Tenshi ni bara no hanazoku wo, by Higuri Yuu and Kai Sakura. No, seriously, that's the title. I had to take it five pages at a time because I was laughing too hard, as in, DEAR GOD WOMAN HAVE YOU NO SHAME? ...I tried to come up with a summary of this series less egregious than "Higuri Yuu does Weiss Kreuz meets Ayashi no Ceres", but... couldn't. Of course they're not florists, they're male models. And it's not a girl transforming into her ancestress, it's a boy transforming into - his ancestress. Rose perfume turns him the one way, a kiss from his seme turns him the other. I swear I didn't make that up. Does this look like the livejournal of someone who'd pull your leg about something like that?

I'm going to read Gorgeous Carat after this. But first I have a couple of volumes of Vagabond *and* Mugen no Juunin, because there's nothing like good ol' gory samurai drama to cleanse the palate between heaping servings of shoujo. Yum.

She has none. NONE, I tell you. She'd tamper with MOAB to get a pretty sparkle. Kamen No Romanesque? Therewith Higuri haphazardly tags Dangerous Liaisons and Dracula--the former goes soft, the latter goes boy's love. She also killed King Ludwig II before he got fat and his teeth rotted out. No shame, but /really pretty art/ and a flair for hair-flipping melodrama.

Sigh. Now I have to buy Tenshi ni bakemono ga kowai yamete onegai shimasu iyaaaaaa. Thought I'd managed to save that eight dollars.

Weepy blond uke I don't so much mind. I mean, I know what I'm getting into - complaining about that would be like reading Vagabond and complaining about the violence. It's just the other one was Too Wrong.

Oh, well, it has a purity to it. XD I mean, that's what I've always secretly thought about WK anyway - "If they have to have a dumb cover identity, why not just go all the way? Make them a j-rock band, or actors in a soap opera, or male models..." Well, Higuri-sensei's tagged that last one at least.

One day they're going to do one in a BexBoy publication where they'll be assassins by night and porn stars by... er, well.
