Jan. 14th, 2003 10:23 pm...How did we go from commemorating Professor Tolkien's birthday to commemorating Orlando Bloom's birthday, again?
...
Funny how these things come in bunches. The crunch for my RL social circle happens in Pisces, around my own, but it's been all birthdays for the past week or two. Ol' JRRT, and Bowie I think, and Elvis and a couple of RLifers and now, l'Orli. I am amused.
[Edit - thought of posting my mental essay on Orli-and-fans, for amusement and edification and because everyone else seems to be. But I'm rarely in the mood to write out one of the long text passages (not always about celebrities) that I mentally compose at bus stops and in metro cars, which is why you get so few of them. Just take it that I've been blogging so long it's part of how I think, and once I've put the last full stop in the entry mentally I lose the urge to transcribe it. (Now do you see why I want a blogphone?) After my last lj entry this afternoon I nursed a rant re society's double standard on child sexuality for two hours. I delivered it to Erin, bless her, and now it's gone. ...I think I also told her that Viggo Mortenson was like the guy in "Foolish Games" only older and more responsible, which on second thought was probably unfair. ^^; What he *does* seem to be is a profoundly weird man, but it's a manner of weird I can relate to. And he is a rather good photographer. ]
