Have cold/cough. :/ Too listless to do anything except watch 24 (two DVDs worth today), a show I keep mainlining despite having a buttzillion problems with that I'm also too listless to detail. Actually today I went out and saw people and signed papers, but having taken care of Stuff I'm going to hole up until Tania's graduation ceremony on Friday. Will see tomorrow if I'm up to writing.

Hahaha okay I think the major one is along the lines of, one of these days I would like to see a terrorist/suspect/informant on this show give FALSE INFORMATION UNDER DURESS, like they actually talk a lot about how torture-induced confessions are unreliable but, uh, it always works for Jack Bauer. Which is kind of ridiculous. Setting aside the moral unpleasantness, what are the ODDS of that? In a lot of these situations all these guys have to do is come up with an address on the other side of town and make the "good" guys waste two hours.

I'm also good enough with computers that all the massive handwavery drives me up the wall. Like, in the most recent season they kidnap a computer expert at 8:00AM and by 8:15AM he's built them a hacker device that can take down governement firewalls. G,guys, it would take you that long to drive him back to your hideout and explain to him what you want him to do.

24 is entirely too compelling. I stopped after the first few seasons due to no longer having anyone to watch with (broke up with the guy whose buddy hooked us both) and TV is a social activity for me, but during season 2 I recall saying that I enjoyed the show because there were only two things that I knew they weren't going to do and just about anything else was fair game... and then BOTH of the two things happened anyway. XD

incidentally a couple of colleagues both use jack bauer's ringtone xD; i've never watched 24 but it's a bit of a letdown to hear that ringtone succeeded by "oh dinner, dunno, you decide.."

I actually have been writing - I'm plugging away on Traffic and have now posted to carnet. I have gotten back to Takaba's POV and am excited about this in a ridic way. XD;

IDK that I've even noticed Jack Bauer's ringtone! Damn I am bad at stuff like that.
