Baby diary: 22 weeks 3 days

petronia After I wrote the last entry, A. fell off my bed. ^^;;; He only ended up sitting on his butt and holding himself upright via the bed frame, surprised into silence.
J. came over and based on his observation thinks A. will be sitting up by himself soon, since he's starting to pull himself up with his arms and can more or less sit up at the table on my lap. (He's also starting to reach out and grab interesting objects within reach -- before the past two days he only looked, even though he was well able to grasp.) I think there's a way to go yet, but he may surprise me again.
I think I'll be a little more systematic about giving him food from here on out. He's tried a dab of everything but hasn't actually eaten much quantity wise. He's very funny about sour-sweet fruit: he makes the exact face and "whhaa" sound drinkers make when they down tequila-lime-salt shots at the bar.
G. came over and gave him one of his own childhood toys, I'm honoured. (It's a purple dragon called Figment, a Disney World mascot from the 80's.)
