Feb. 13th, 2002 02:05 pmBefore we begin, would someone please rec me a good Fuuma x Subaru? I'd love you.
Twenty minutes to do a survey...
years in fandom: only been online since '97 (really!), so five years. *If*, OTOH, you define fandom as that familiar cycle of discovery of/enthusiasm for/immersion in/obsession with a book or TV show, then twelve years. (Tolkien. I was nine.)
years reading slash: 4 1/2. (Well. 4 1/2 years in which I knew what I was reading was slash. Coming into it with Anne Rice at fourteen blurred the issue somewhat.) 3 1/2 years of reading yaoi.
years writing slash: 4 years. But btNS was the first one that wasn't just vaguely implied m/m, and that was all of 2 1/2 years ago.
number of fandoms written: Uh...
Crossovers: 3U (xover-involved series: FY, YYH, CCD, RK, WK, FF7)
Angel Sanctuary: 2U
FF7: 1F
FF8: 1U
FF9: 1U
FF10: 1U (nasakenai naa, atashi)
Fushigi Yuugi: 2F
Gundam Wing: 2F, 1U
Initial D: 1U
Slayers: 1U
Trigun: 1U
VampChron: 1F (2 if you count the poem), 1U
Weiss Kreuz: 1F, 6U (!)
Yuu Yuu Hakusho: 1F
Zetsuai: 1F
Total: 16 productive fandoms, 9 fics finished, 19 fics unfinished ranging from in-serialisation to bottom-of-drawer. God, I suck.
numbers of fandoms read: Everything I write in plus all the CLAMP fandoms, most Squaresoft game fandoms, Slam Dunk, Saiyuuki, PSoH, Utena, X-Files, Eroica, Harry Potter, ST:V and some SW:tPM. Basically, if I've watched/read the canon, I'm open to reading the fic. Do I religiously read through the fanfiction relating to any of these? Not a single one, not any more. Trusted recommendations only.
Bizarre incomprehensible-even-to-self quirk alert: I don't read fic for Yami no Matsuei or Slayers.
stories written in... well, I did the count up there. Brahms, not Mozart.
number of slashers met: Shoujocon. Shoujocon was a blur. Two dozen face-to-face intros, surely? Add 4-5 real-life friends to that. Thirty at best.
