Long and eventful post to come but:

1) Bernie Ecclestone is the douchiest douche that ever douched in the history of douchedom.

2) It turns out the big summer law peon project sororial unit was pulling her hair out over (and probably failing to read Simon Frith for) consisted of, I am not making this up, DEFINING "INDIE". Or at least, pulling together a 15-page annotated bibliography of everything everyone else has said on the subject.

Her: Amazing, I just wrote that section.

I've asked her to send it to me once she's done, but now she's gone cross-pond to be indie so.

3) I have 39 free tracks at the iTunes store, suggestions?

I suggest Black Joe Lewis for one of the tracks. He's been all over the internet and radio lately and I see why. 60s SOUL REVIVALLLL I am down with this.

(1) I had to look up Bernie Ecclestone in Wikipedia. (This is not to be proud of my ignorance; just stating a fact. I realized that I had heard of him, however.)

(2) You could refer your sister to here and here, or is it too late? (Not that these will help her, but they will amuse her.)

The Montreal Grand Prix - I mean, you know the sorry tale, I won't rehash it, but a couple of days ago he started telling the media there was a deal (while the city hadn't even confirmed negotiations) and pulling numbers completely out of his ass. Like, we're giving him taxpayer money? It's just annoying that he's the dude to deal with, so there's no way to tell him to take a hike and still have the race. XD;

Question: does its melody and chord progression remind you, as it reminds me, of PSB's "It's A Sin" and Cat Stevens' "Wild World"? (It was released virtually the same time as "It's A Sin" so it is unlikely to have influenced it or been influenced by it.)
