Mildly disturbing (cont. tales of)
Nov. 5th, 2007 11:21 pmSo my sister worked out the Tori-style piano version of "The Childcatcher" that comes as a bonus track on The Magic Position CD.
Her: I can play this at Law Rocks! It has that line about "our law-given hand", see. Also it'd be worth it just to see the Dean's face.
Me: Are you serious?
Her: No.
So far she's cobbled together cover versions of: "Magpie", "Souvenirs", "Pigeon Song", and "The Magic Position" (three-handed, and even more hilariously retarded Ultimo Pop when you strip it down to basic components; "Variations on the Theme of 'Heart and Soul'" pretty much). Basically she plays and I sing because she can't be arsed to sing, or indeed transpose. XD; Before this was "Dinner at Eight", which is actually fairly tricky, and today was "Famous Blue Raincoat".
Sometimes it seems to me like I spend a lot of time doing stuff like this (a couple of hours today) except I never post about it or indeed conceptualize it, in some sense.
In other news I argued my Accounting midterm mark up to a 74%, and got 10/10 on the infamous assignment which caused brief excitement until I realized everyone in the class got 10/10. The presentation went okay, I have another one to prepare for tomorrow. Plus three group projects/assignments more or less due this week. Plus a personal term paper and exams next week. =_= Last.FM sent my sister (not me, who knows why) notice that Final Fantasy was opening for Bell Orchestre in Montreal on the 14th, which I think is untrue as it runs counter to all information otherwise available on the internets, but even if it were true I wouldn't be able to attend as I have *drumroll* my Accounting final that evening. Were it possible it would be a bad idea as I would, like, heckle Owen Pallett by yelling "SPOONY BARD!" at him. Write a song with "chickatrice" in the title, that's what you get.
I am going to Stars, though. On... Erin, is it November 30th or December 1st? XD;; I thought it was going to be with Miracle Fortress but it seems to be Pony Up! opening. Either way is good. Can-con, why are you so awesome.
...Darn it, I need to get back to writing. orz
