Now I can do something else
Aug. 7th, 2007 12:05 amSuch as answer that meme of
starlighter's. XD This is just a chunk of my current playlist so if you're going to download and listen to these, may as well do it in order.
1) Spitz - Sakana: I love it when Spitz songs are built over delicately-pretty-yet-jangly guitar lines that remind me of the Smiths, though the melodies sound nothing like the Smiths per se (basically, because Kusano Masamune != Morrissey).
2) Suga Shikao - Sorosoro ikanakucha: okay, so I've been listening to Honey and Clover insert songs a lot. XD I'm missing a whole bunch of them too, which surprised me.
3) KREVA feat. Kusano Masamune - Kureba ii no ni: virally spread from
canis_m. XD I wrote it up here - it's a public musicblog I started a while ago. I thought I'd keep it for a while without linking and see what happens, but without readers the quality and regularity of my writing degenerate. Feel free to friend or check back, there won't be locked posts.
4) Tsutchie feat. kazami - YOU: from one of the Samurai Champloo OSTs. Gorgeous, summery harmonies.
5) Michael Garrick Trio - Sketches of Israel: quiet, lovely instrumental jazz piece (piano, bass, percussion). I got this off Fluxblog a while ago, may as well reference the dude's commentary.
6) Business Man - Dubby Games: were this re-labelled to be less obscurantist, it would be "Chris Isaak - Wicked Game (Trentemøller Dub)". Linked by
cis.
7) Ann Margaret - Everybody Needs Somebody, Part 2 (Prins Thomas Edit): DISCO~♥ In my playlist this segues into the Bee Gees edit
cis also linked. (17.1MB)
AND BONUS VIDEO:
Gotan Project - Santa Maria (Del Buen Ayre)
This is included on the bonus disc that came with my version of the album. "Una Musica Brutal" began as a response of sorts to this vid. XD (The music was also used in the Richard Gere x J-Lo version of Shall We Dance?, which only goes to show.)
Now I will do my part to annoy SixApart by watching some child pr0n, by which I mean Cinepuri on Youtube. ♥
