How it works is, not only do people give boxes of mooncakes, they also give mooncake tickets - gift cards you then trade in at the mooncake house for the mooncakes proper. This year we have far fewer boxes because grandma (who doesn't eat them) gave away a bunch and scalped her tickets for the rest. XD;
