Röyksopp - Beautiful Day Without You (Album Version)
Röyksopp - Beautiful Day Without You (Cass and Mangan Living Underdog Remix)
Röyksopp - Beautiful Day Without You (Rex The Dog Remix)
Röyksopp - Beautiful Day Without You (Wighnomy and Robag Wruhmes Spekkfakkel Remikks)

I like the Wighnomy remix best - it's de-structured, pensive, serene - but I do grow fonder of the RTD mix as I listen to it more. The problem is that (as Cis pointed out) Rex mixes buff up the source material more than they radically reconstruct it, and the original "Beautiful Day Without You" is not in the same league as mighty electro-beasts "Heartbeats", "Drop The Pressure" or "Photographic". *g* Plus if you are expecting the ball to be hit out of the park with every swing you feel let down if it merely lands in the first row of bleachers. I'd probably enjoy it a lot if I heard it when dancing.

If you want to grab songs from the spell-your-name meme best do it soon, I'll be taking them down in a couple of days. They're all favorites, and some are rather different fare from the usual featured on this LJ.

Sorry for this rather irrelevant comment, but I remember a while back you mentioned the MFA mix of 'Into Everything' surpassing TWD's 'What Else Is There?' mix for you, and being very surprised, and now after multiple listenings, I can finally say the same. I think it's the way the fake-Ibiza build up swirls in after 2.50, just when I thought the whole thing was going to be very low-key and bass-y. so, cheers for introducing me to that!

Fake-Ibiza is about right re: MFA in general. XD Though I'm not sure I do like it better than the TWD "What Else Is There?" mix - really all I meant at that point was that "Into Everything" works better in the context of the mix, one airy cool-spectrum pseudo-Balearic track sandwiched between others as opposed to "What Else Is There?"'s fireworks (and at the time I added the latter track to the mix I'd already come close to overplaying it, which probably counts for a lot ^^;).
