For the hockey fans
Jan. 25th, 2013 05:38 pmThe umm hockey fandom on LJ/DW doesn't use francophone sites much, I don't think? Also, I still can't get over that there's a "LJ/DW hockey fandom" in this sense. XD But in any case, if you're curious to see something I've been working on for much of 2011/2012**: beta.rds.ca
(It's been purposefully leaked to social media already, so no reason not to post it AFAIK. Launch is in two weeks.)
** and/or a ton of PK Subban-related blog speculation, I guess......

Date: 2013-01-26 06:13 pm (UTC)It took two years from beginning to end (I came into it about 6 months down the line) so I'm pretty happy it's launching. XD

Date: 2013-01-26 05:24 am (UTC)(ALSO HOCKEY FANDOM IS AWESOME. Although currently much of it involves making my Canadian friends explain things like 'cross-checking' and 'penalty shots' while I try to will the Blackhawks and Jonathan Toews to victory during game time.)

Date: 2013-01-26 06:02 pm (UTC)I couldn't really talk about it before it launched, obv, but the sheer amount of time I've spent hanging around dudebro hockey broadcasters for my day job is the reason I find the idea of hockey fic fandom incongruously funny, though I'm sure it's wonderful XD (football was, from my limited perspective!).

Date: 2013-01-28 04:48 am (UTC)I just wish someone would tell me if Eric Gagne's autobiography has anything about the 2008 Brewers in it. Nobody else seems to care besides me and I'm not ordering it sight unseen.
Oooh, Philippe Aumont is blogging there? (my French, frankly, is non-existent. boo.)
(I'd tell you about baseball fandom. In that sense. But only over private mail, they're totally freaked about the 4th wall)
