by [livejournal.com profile] tintenfic. Because it does, in the universe where tennis balls bounce horizontally. Ha, ha! Forgive me, I have a comp sci degree from a theoretical-minded institution. Really you should all read this for adorable InuKai and the rest of Seigaku being characteristically nosy and chaotic.

La! But--
by [livejournal.com profile] alyxbradford. Sunday evening; Ced, Tania and I ordered drinks and viennoiseries at a café on Saint-Denis where we'd taken shelter from the rain. As a nice freebie the café provided its customers with tablet screens with which one can surf the Internet. Ced read the BBC news, and I checked out [livejournal.com profile] 31_days, where this was one of the first stories I spotted. I laughed and laughed and left the page on the tablet. Of course the chance of the next person grokking it was nearly nil, but one can always hope.

Now that I think about it, the crossdressing is totally canon.

Dark Side of the Moon
by [livejournal.com profile] bastmoon. Ai no Kusabi fic. XD [livejournal.com profile] bastmoon seems to be editing and reposting her old stories as well as new ones, it's like Classic BL Fandoms Revisited rather. ...Recently [livejournal.com profile] joliefolie and I were talking about anime/manga series on classical musicians (lack thereof) and I said well there's always Fujimi Orchestra and she was like ZOMG FUJIMI ORCHESTRA I REMEMBER THAT LOLZ, which left me pondering why I let (made?) my twelve-year-old (at the time) sister watch that VHS tape [livejournal.com profile] z107m sent me with all the yaoi OAVs extant back then (surely not because it had classical musicians in!?), which led me to wonder, can I download Ai no Kusabi now? I mean, I still have the tape, if it's not on my shelf it's on Tania's, but if I wanted to watch it RIGHT NOW I'd have to a) find it and b) watch it on the little TV in my parents' bedroom, because that's where the half-dead VHS player is now. And just, no. Fannish technologies have advanced beyond this. I can download Legend of Galactic Heroes these days, and the fandom situation is entirely analogous.

Mind you I've never actually watched Ai no Kusabi more than twice. Twice was quite enough. But if I had a clean digital copy I would learn my sister's vidding software just so I could make a PMV out of it to "West End Girls", which is one of the things I hope to do before I Leave Fandom Forever (tm). I also have a perverse urge to read the book eventually, mostly because people keep saying it's an unrewarding read.

I have such a beast (digital copy of AnK)... I hope one day to make an AMV but I still haven't found the song that would work...

I'll send you my copy, which would then release me from the necessity of finishing the thing ten years after starting it (and counting.)

kinda silly, but these days just about all yaoi series (even the really bad ones) are up for download in various yaoi forums.

Speaking of P = NP, did you ever come across this song?
