Live 8. Some of it was good? XD I ended up watching most of the evening highlights reel on CTV. It was worth it just to catch the Pet Shop Boys playing "West End Girls" in Red Square. Lovely performance but I totally cracked up because in my head it was like--

(British popstars clubhouse.)

Sir Bob Geldof: Okay, it's going to be called Live 8 because the concerts will take place simultaneously in all G8 countries, as well as-
Neil Tennant: Wait wait. There's going to be a concert in Russia this time?
Sir Bob Geldof: *pauses* Yes.
Neil Tennant: ...
Sir Bob Geldof: ...
Neil Tennant: ......♥?
Sir Bob Geldof: ALL RIGHT YOU BLARMY FOOL YOU MAY PLAY IN MOSCOW. WOULD ANYBODY ELSE LIKE TO CALL SHOTGUN?
Chris Lowe: *pulls cap a little lower, tries to give impression he doesn't know anybody in the room*

There's still the Fantasia schedule to sort out. In the meantime, I'm going to the Khaled and Four Tet/Akufen concerts after all, as well as the Ninja Tunes matsuri tomorrow night. DJ triple-bill, 9PM-3AM ohgawd. What to do for shoes? I stood or danced my way through four or five hour-long sets at the Jazz Fest over the course of two days, and what I learnt from this experience is that flip-flops provide no support for ankles whatsoever. :P

Well, I don't know whose idea it was to have Green Day play "American Idiot" in Berlin, but I suspect that giggling may have been involved.

The Petshop Boys were lovely, and obviously enjoying themselves.
