Books I'm reading: John Le Carré, Smiley's People. Halfway through since 10PM last night; I think this is the most compelling read of the trilogy! The rest is spoilers, because it's a v. good mystery (although I have a Theory(tm) about what's going on; the thing about JLC is that he's easy to predict once you realize he likes to go for Maximum Thematic Pathos XD).
Books I'm writing: Just the one. Still at the meticulous planning on index cards stage.
The book I love the most: Oh, come on!
The last book I received as a gift: Ursula K. Leguin, Changing Planes, from K. Before that, an Annie Dillard omnibus from Danica. I have awesome friends.
The last book I gave as a gift: ...Apparently I am not so awesome a friend, because I can't remember. XD;; (Probably a Christmas gift to someone; my memory is just that bad.)
The nearest book: As the mosquito flies, Mori Kaoru's Bride Stories 2 and Tintin au pays des philosophes, an illustrated folio of essays about Tintin edited by Philosophie magazine. Tintin and post-colonialism, Tintin and the society of the spectacle, Dupont and Dupond: the real and the mirror. Et cetera. XD; These were last night's purchases from the independent bookstore next door to the shop I live over, because it's been having sales and I would like it to not go out of business (the tabletop gaming store on the other side is always considerably busier, as in regularly packed with tournament players past midnight on a weekday).
