petroniaIf you go to http://www.anniemusic.co.uk/ you can download the Royksopp remix of "Heartbeat" (the full name of which is a Scandinavian orthographic terror). It's a licensed WMA file. I may or may not have crashed my computer and signed away one of my kidneys just to get the thing to play. Am loving it, though - the original song was balanced on a knife's edge between sadness and euphoria, and this remix tips it all the way over into an ominous, cinematic, quasi-Bjork darkness.
This and the straight-up Alan Braxe house remix. (Probably closest we'll ever get to a "long" version 'm'fraid. But you know, the last time I was honestly bothered - really bothered - by a song being too short was New Order's "Here To Stay", because what I had was the radio edit on International. Moved mountains for a copy of the full version. Once I had it I thought it was too long.) If ever there was a single worth the ordering then that single sure is "Heartbeat", is what I figure.
