Okay, so I was seriously just going to poke at this for five minutes with the Annotated Pratchett open in a Firefox tab. Instead I seem to have run the damned thing up to 70 minutes, and not nearing done. What's music for kindly satanic nuns? nerdy witchfinders? Irony is that I have reams of wailing gothy industrial music about the Apocalypse but it's impossible to use any of it. Why are you so long-winded, Freddy M.?

Would anyone be able to donate me an mp3 of "A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square" so I can tie a knot on this thing?

...I'm supposed to be writing a drabble, dash it all. Well, it is my game. XD;;

EDIT -- Though I can't post it on [livejournal.com profile] fst even if I do finish it, because the book round is over. I'm completely boggled that AFAIK no one did do an FST for Good Omens - but then, the idea didn't occur to me either, did it, if it did I'd have volunteered. XD

*boggles* Um. I have a Good Omens playlist in iTunes here, but I doubt it's got anywhere near the same kind of stuff (I tend to run towards the lame, the obvious, and the sappy, straight across the board.)

'Everything Falls Apart' by Dog's Eye View does seem to work well, though. 'Promise' by Eve 6 and 'You Take My Breath Away' by Sarah Brightman... I'm not so sure about 'em but they /will not go away./ XD;

So yeah-- dying of curiosity! A list of names would be awesome, even if not the actual songs.

A HA HA HA you're doing it. <3

Is Erasure's "Heavenly Action" on it? (Well, you said doofy 80s songs that mention angels. And are super gay)

Not that one, no. (I don't have that one. ^^;) But the ineffable truth is that there are so many doofy 80s songs that make prominent use of the word "angel" that the entire mix could be comprised of nothing but. Or, you know, dump Best of Queen and The Works back to back and call that the mix. The line has to be drawn somewhere.

It is doofy, though. And it's quite definitely 80s.

Music for kindly satanic nuns...Tori Amos's "Happy Phantom"? For the sole reason that it mentions nuns. Am so lame. Er, how about that song from O Brother, Where Art Thou? The children's song that goes, "I'll Be Workin' For My Lord".

I always thought the Smiths' "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side" was a great ending song for Good Omens. Dog and the sudden hole in the hedge...Adam running after..."Slouching toward Tadfield...forever."

As far as nerdy witchfinders go...um...I can put up a song by my friend Harold called "Anyone But Me" that might fit Newt. Or you could try "The Village Green Preservation Society" by The Kinks; it has a dorky-cute sound that might work.

Yay Good Omens FST!!! <333

Hi! Is there any way someone coming late to the game *waves hand feebly about* could locate the playlist for this, if not the mp3s themselves? (Choosing "A Nightingale Sang in Berkely Square" is brilliant. Brilliant.)
