Never? --Hardly ever.
Oct. 13th, 2004 08:52 pmThinking about drabble. XD The concept is so weird that my brain is compelled to deal with it in complete seriousness, I'm afraid - meaning that the bit that's really sticking in my gears is something along the lines of, "Peace Maker Kurogane's continuity stops dead in 1868 or so, but... HMS Pinafore wasn't premiered until a decade later! Damn!"
The first idea would've been so charming, too. But okay, okay, I go home, I write. XD

In recent months I've variously felt the urge to soundtrack: Death Note, Eroica, Angel Sanctuary, Good Omens, Mirage of Blaze... It never goes anywhere, I get four or five tracks in and stop for lack of material (usually I have a clear idea of what genres/types of music relate to a series in my head, i.e. what the real soundtrack should sound like if the series were to be animated, but the intersection between that and songs with lyrics that also relate is small). But you know what would be a good idea? Soundtracking a series without telling people what it was, and seeing if anyone can guess.
You know what would be an even better idea?
Soundtracking a Falsificatio series, one that doesn't exist anywhere except in one's head. Then having people recount the plot they "hear" in the ST, and seeing if it bears any relation to the ST maker's concept. XD
