Truth or Drabble: the Rules

It's like Truth Or Dare but instead of daring the person to do something physical, you give them a drabble request. Predetermined list of people. I pick a victim, the victim selects Truth or Drabble, and I issue the challenge accordingly. The victim does the write-up in her own journal - publically but of course - and drops me a link (as Master of Ceremonies I'll keep a post for tracking purposes, keep checking back). She then picks a new victim from those who have not been tagged yet, and on it goes until everyone's had their turn.

EDIT -- no limits as to fandom drabblewise, but the challenge should be adapted to the victim. XD I guess it's a game that's optimally played by a bunch of people who're acquainted with each other, but if you don't really know the person it's the work of a few minutes to poke at their lj and see what they're into. Original fiction is also a valid option. Time limits are unnecessarily onerous but you know, don't take a week about it. Within the hour is optimal for my sitting-in-front-of-computer-all-day entertainment, though probably unrealistic. XD

01. jantalaimon picked Drabble and has accordingly produced Franz Ferdinand/My Little Pony fic (what, you thought there was going to be normality involved?). [EDIT -- Alternate FF/MLP drabble here. Two breakages in one, as the esteemed author so well put it.] She tags beeblebabe!

02. beeblebabe picked Drabble and wrote about a normal day in the life of Henry Townsend. She tags canis_m!

03. canis_m picked Drabble and having been away from das Interweb I can't find the text of the request, but 'twas brothel antics in the kingdom of En. She tags usomitai!

04. usomitai picked Drabble (yeah, everyone's picking Drabble but I suspected that would happen, the logistics are so skewed from MSN XD) and wrote duck/boy, duck on top. I am beginning to be alarmed at the fact that I understand all these topics. She tags yasminm!

05. yasminm picked Drabble, yappari, and stood up to the plate with Death Note Highschool AU crossed over with Rika the Breeder. Raito/L. (Now is Truth starting to look good? XD) She tags pornkings!

06. pornkings picked Drabble and gifted the world with what it never knew it needed, to wit, jeepney driver yaoi. With bananas. I'm trying to decide which artist of my acquaintance to blackmail persuade into drawing this and sending it to BeBoy for consideration (with the assumed and elided sex scene at the end obv). She tags tsutanai!

07. tsutanai picked Drabble, and forthwith dedicated King Kong/Godzilla to the ghost of Derrida. She tags wenlet!

08. wenlet picked Drabble and wrote a freewheeling shadow hearts 2 / card captor sakura / a leeeetle bit of getbackers crossover, mostly involving dressmaking. She tags petronia - to wit, me. XD

09. petronia picked Drabble, and procrastinated, and wrote a GetBackers/X-Files enactment of HMS Pinafore, staged by Tetsu to cheer up Susumu. She tags ririkit!

10. ririkit picked Drabble and and wrote a Death Note / Prince of Tennis crossover, with Fuji as a shinigami-who-only-eats-apples (omg it happens exactly like it does in my head XD). She tags tongari!

...Truth doesn't really have to be lame or horrific, you bunch of paranoiacs. XD When I was playing it was all things like Tell Us About The Genesis Of Your First Fanfic, Or A Poetic Childhood Memory. P.S. I am also available for tagging, thought it was so obvious I forgot to include myself in the list. ^^; However I am going to bed and so won't see any updates to the game until mid-morning tomorrow.

ooh, i do have one question, though: how strict are we being about the drabbles? is this the technically precise 100-words-or-less sort, or are we being more lenient in terms of acceptable length?

Lenient but personally I like the 100-words-exactly type best, I think they're the most fun to write. XD

I'm intrigued, but what if the victim doesn't know the fandom from which the challenge is issued? Is this game being played within a given set of fandoms? Also, I'm having a hard time imagining what would happen for truth, but perhaps this is because I am too familiar with the version of this game in which "truth" is invariably about boys?

Oh, I'm only ever offline for three days at a time, max. And rarely even a day (as the terrorized staff of the local net/manga cafe can attest to XDXD), so I'm definitely in. I'll probably be one of the last ones tagged, though, I bet.
