My continuing adventures in Not Actually Paying Attention To The Lyrics-Land: just figured out "Love And Destroy" is about The Master And Margarita! ...Wankers. I should make a list of rock tunes that actively reference Bulgakov - know there was a Tea Party one.

Speaking of tea parties (har har), I have new green tea from China. This schtuff is like the Beaujolais Nouveau of tea: just the tips of branches plucked off and dried, silvery leaf-underside fluff still intact, smells and tastes as "green" as grass clippings. Probably keeps as well as Beaujolais Nouveau too, id est not at all. But so good.

This may have gone in the missing week of the flist I still haven't scrounged up the courage to wade through (I know a couple of other things did, including the announcement of that Vincent-out-of-FF7 shooter game), but... no one's mentioned yet that the next TeniPuri simgame will have detective!Atobe and kaitou!Oshitari as one of the dream sequences? Ahahahaha.

Where where did you read that? I haven't been keeping up on the simgames that much, as recently by TeniPuri fandom mojo has been going a bit down (though it will probably revive once the manga plot starts going again.)

In actual Jump. ^^; I've just forgotten to mention it until now.

Do you doubt it? XD

There's another one which is a creepy alternaverse in which Sanada is relaxed and nice. XD;;

Has this leafy magnum opus of nature a name, pray?

Cordially,

This is far too precious. I must get my hands on that ad. (My Japanese is very, very slowly improving, but now what happens? Manhua. >_< So far only about one manhwa title has really piqued my interest (One, by Tokyopop. I think you would like it. It's sort of like Gravitation and Kaikan Phrase in that it's about the cutthroat world of music, 'cept without the gay and with all this artistic vs. sellout = the agon of pop angst. )

A good question. I'm sure it did but I brought it from China loose in a plastic bag, and when I got here I put it in a can and discarded the plastic bag. So now I don't remember. ^^;

I'm pretty fond of it too. Am amused that it seems to be one of those books people pick to riff on in their own artistic projects.

Nana serves my music-manga needs for the moment, methinks. XD (Actually I still have to watch Full Moon wo Sagashite... I think I'm actually not all that interested in music manga unless it's music I think I'd like, or the approach is realistic enough or something. Though I liked Gravitation because it's essentially parody.)

I wish Tokyopop would bring over Nana already. ParaKiss must be selling fairly well, in order to get that many reprints.

I like Gravitation far better in the manga form than in the anime form, for some reason. (Is it still ongoing, BTW?)

No, I think it's over. Haven't read it to the end, though.
