(Oh, Perpetua is back, thank heavens. Not that I don't appreciate all the free music, but I was starting to consider taking the Fluxblog feed off my flist by reason of ENTHUSIASTIC SPAMMAGE.)

I'm going to be flying American Airlines on 9/11. :D;;; Dorval-O'Hare-Narita-Pudong. There's a discount. I wonder why?

Took sororial unit shopping on Sunday, as a slightly late birthday present. (Though I bought her birthday dessert - double chocolate mousse cake, pink lemonade sorbet.) Ended up blowing 85$ at the space FB sale in les Cours Mont-Royal. Haul was one blue-and-white diagonal-striped summer A-line skirt and one pleated red tennis mini for sororial unit, one cream-coloured A-line and two button-up shirts for me (safari sand, khaki). Space FB are local designer togs, 85$ normally wouldn't buy the one shirt. ^^; The line's a bit unadvertised and "cult", actually, if you can call "cult" something that all the locals know about - I'd link sample images but there's no webpage. Google only turns up endless jokes about how it's the "McGill University school uniform". Not as preppy as that makes it sound, more latter-day Jewish Montreal Princess - i.e. known for simple sloppy sporty wear that costs an arm and a leg. XD;; Zip-up tops, tracksuits, v-neck tees, flannel tennis skirts. Of course sororial unit and I did not purchase the sloppy sporty schtuff.

(I really like the A-line I'm wearing now, actually: it's like a platonic ideal of an A-line skirt, perfect fit around my natural waist, flares to just above the knees. The shirt is from the same collection, so it's one curved line from shoulder to hem. The sleeves are a bit puffy, too, almost like demure loli - slightly overdressed for the office. XD My mum's complaining that I'm dressing too old, but because of the slight "over"ness it's really a very young look.)
