Sep. 12th, 2011 08:28 pm1) MAKE A CONTRACT WITH ME, LITTLE GIRL
2) Wait so…… Akio is a librarian…… in Borges’ Babel…….
3) Alice in Wonderland!
4) Blinding realization of E09 being that Himari is the main character - she is Anthy, of course, the Little Sister - the girl who is the object of everyone’s effort and attention but has seemingly no agency or motive or knowledge of her own. Except she does; she just has nothing to say about it to anyone, because she knows that no one can help her. Only early!Anthy came with the vibe of meganekko social kimoi-ness whereas Himari is a much more normalized imouto!moe, Ikuhara having finessed the aim of his trolling to the point where he fooled even me.

I'm interested in where the story is going, but not so much in the characters themselves; and I don't know whether this is a)narrative misjudgement (too much mythical, not enough specific (seriously this is what killed Madoka Magica for me)), b)All Part Of The Plan, or c)simply the lack of crossdressing and social awkwardness XD.
this week's ep was pretty amaze though ngl

Date: 2011-09-16 10:33 am (UTC)Shouma's not much of a protagonist - he's been purely passive/reactive thus far iirc. In fact, he's so much not there that I suspect there's something we are not being told (Ikuhara: makes one massively paranoid and over-analytical). It's not very interesting in the meantime, though. I guess he could be the 'normal' one in a cast of the flamboyantly insane (I hate this trope (the normal bit, not the insane bit)), but really, with his home life ... probably not.
