Yay for Korean psychological/supernatural horror flicks that finish past midnight. x_x The Uninvited, it's called (though I'm pretty sure the Korean title is nothing like); effective, albeit not in the knee-melting terror sense. More oppressive and tragic, like the last two films in the Ringu trilogy. Recommended watching, but only if you have high tolerance for dead babies. Seriously. If watching small children dying on screen disturbs you more than warranted (given that it's supposed to be disturbing, after all), this is not the movie for you. As garnish, you've also got dead adults, dead kittens, and one eerie kitchen table set. Laugh it up, laugh. How willing were you to be alone with your TV after first watching Ringu? My house is filled with those bloody futuristic-design chairs.

Of course then you - and by "you" here I mean "I" - walk out thinking something along the lines of, man, I bet Sumeragi Subaru sees a lot of *that* shit in his line of work...

(And proceed to make a beeline for the Tim Horton's down the block, in order to reinstill a sense of normalcy through consumption of caffeine and sugar. Sanity by TimBits: a Canadian way of coping! It's the second time this Fantasia fest I've had to resort to such.)

ooohhh... I missed a lot of Korean horror movies... the last one I saw was just The Tale of Two Sisters. T___T

^_^;;; Considering I once wrote an X/Dark Water crossover, and I STILL haven't finished my X/Ring fic... I now can NOT watch an Asian horror without thinking what Subaru would do... XD;

The Eye... The Eye... *nods*

...

I'm going to see Tale of Two Sisters over the weekend. XD;; (And is Dark Water any good? I think I can get tickets to that as well.)

What Would Subaru Do? (Subaru would exorcise the effing kitchen table set. Or more likely, exorcise the main character.) ...Poor thing. Never mind his life, if my work were like that I'd be self-destructive and humourless too.

ooohhh... tell me what you think about it! XD
Dark Water/Honogurai Mizu no Soko Kara is by the same director as Ring... not as scary as Ring, but it's more touching. So sad! Go and see it if you can. XD

re : Subaru
Agreed. Especially if the spirits act the way they do on The Eye. O___O

Incidentally, though it has not to do with horror (I wonder how that cute monk and the girl cursed by the doll faired in that tv series I was watching in Japan off and on, just idly--Dark Water was also going to air on tv right after I left, oh, the unfairity of it all), but since you're the movie-knowledgeable one: So, Night Watch, the post-Soviet sci-fi (I guess?) trilogy.... Any thoughts/information?
