Seriously no TezuAto that does it for me out there, and the ironic thing is that I'm not even bothered, because all I have to do is put "Cross With You" on. ^_^;;; In fact, I'm not sure I would care more than nebulously for the pairing if I'd never heard the song, because the yaoista part of my brain goes offline when I watch/read the series proper. (Yes, it screws me up, because it means I'm mostly only convinced of pairings insofar as I find my friends convinced. However the makers of the damned series won't let me be gen, or let me be period. I angst. Charmian, how do you do it? >_>) Teh Song, however, is the TezuAto that does it for me. Maybe I can do a translation of the lyrics and pass it off as fic.
I think I would panic if you took this mp3 away from me.
Morikubo is innit. He plays Kirihara. Also, Atobe has apony white throughbred mare in his back yard. Help, cannot stop laughing.

Date: 2003-12-31 01:53 am (UTC)Ah. Indeed, Konomi and his team seem determined not to leave a single possible OTP in the stupid series; once you get to Rikkai you'll meet *Inui's*
non-Seigaku hunk of love, fr crying out loud. I suppose I'm lucky I don't have your problem, since for me yaoi for any series is a question of what I want to see/whether I'm willing to run roughshod over any canon het or other possible matchups.Then again I'll allow myself to be convinced of pretty much any PoT pairing as long as the story's well-written. Date: 2003-12-31 04:56 am (UTC)It doesn't prevent me in any way from reading well-done Tezu/Ato, but I was considering their interactions and deciding that no, it's just not there. The tension.

Date: 2003-12-31 04:57 am (UTC)I hear that! While still waving a little flag of OTP-ness. *snicker*
The other day, I was thinking Saeki/Fuji. Then I said to myself, "Self, go to bed."
At least it wasn't as weird as Ryouma/Jirou...and no, don't ask me where that came from.

Feel tempted to bet on someone eventually writing a PWP where Ooishi and Oshitari <strike>coerce their bendy redhead ukes into S&M</strike>, actually. Yes.

You couldn't bet me, you'd have to BRIBE me. But, um, I might be bribable. For that. Maybe.

(Is incapable of getting into a shounen series without doing the ritual Utena crossover)

Date: 2003-12-31 07:52 am (UTC)Say, even if Seigaku loses to Rikkai they're going to Nationals as #2 representative, right? In which case it'll be like Slam Dunk, they'll lose but attain Goal I, the anime will end and the manga will go to Part II. This way you have tension for when they play Rikkai again, inevitably as the respective teams work their way up the elimination tree. I figure even in the National Final 4 we'll end up with Rikkai and Fudoumine, unless one or the other gets knocked off by an even scarier team for dramatic effect...
I think the male fans have gotten scared off. (Hells, I suspect the male fans in Japan have gotten scared off. >_>)

Date: 2003-12-31 08:08 am (UTC)I want to write schtuff about Tezuka and Fuji - and Atobe - more or less in a character-study sense, and (I strongly suspect) as an excuse for litwank. All the story ideas I get there are either non-relationshippy or so overwhelmingly relationshippy in the decade-long slash epic sense that I scare myself with them, and can't picture writing them at all.
...I could move on to the rival teams and analyse my feelings there, but I think I've been pretty boring already in this comment. ^^;

Re: Sakaki x Atobe - there was an episode of RajiTeni where Atobe's trying to reply to live fanquestions, and everytime he's about to answer Sakaki calls him and he ends up telling the listeners what Kantoku likes instead. Was all dubyoo tii eff on first hearing it, but Sakaki *likes* keeping on top of things, I'd say. XD

Date: 2004-01-02 01:10 am (UTC)Yes, the top four teams from Kantou are all going, so Fudomine and Rokkaku are okay. ^_^ Although someone noted that they introduced Rikkai players early, and we haven't seen any of the other rival schools to come, thus making me nervous about the continuation. Of course, that can be explained by geography... I agree that Rikkai and Fudomine will make it to the Final Four, because it makes sense for plot reasons.
The male fans in Japan have gotten scared off? Come now, that can't be. These are the same males who buy Getbackers manga, after all.
