But I have osmanthus tea. So life isn't all bad, innit?
The PSB tracks for which people are evidently waiting with bated breath XD (see previous entry for write-up):
Pet Shop Boys - Fugitive (Richard X Extended Mix)
Pet Shop Boys - Sodom (Trentemøller Remix)
Pet Shop Boys - Flamboyant (Michael Mayer Kompakt Mix)
Other songs I've been getting around to posting for a while:
Brandy - Almost Doesn't Count (DJ Premier Remix): reeeeemix; or, revisitation of late 80s and/or late 90s minor pop divas continues apace (I'm incubating a random Poptimistic paragraph re Paula Abdul vs. Robyn XD). Chillout summer jam with organic beats, you'd like if you enjoy the Samurai Champloo OSTs.
James Figurine - 55566688833: I like it because it strikes me as nothing so much as an Anglophone indie cover of a Cpop ballad - that is, this is the basic approach, tenor and scope of 90% of contemporary Cpop, if you don't speak Chinese and were wondering (it's a breakup song about cellular texting). Or maybe I think this because the melody itself reminds me of some half-actual, half-imagined Cpop number.
Caroline - Where's My Love: uploaded by
rondaview in her pre-Coachella post. V. pretty melodic Bjork-pop with xylophones and whatnot (its own microgenre these days). This is the better song but I think maybe I should've uploaded "Pink and Black" instead?
Soon I will be able to go home and make my coconut jelly dessert. :P I'd like to go pick up the second Temeraire novel but it's raining cats and dogs. Oh, and if I can find my camera I'll post pictures of the stupid yet strangely useful ladybug accessory I bought on a whim a few days ago.
