Schwarzfic, from another angle

Wrote 750 words of dialogue tonight and realised to my surprise that I'd completed a fic. (The watermark I had on the file was April 2001. That there is just sad.) So here you are. Schuldich backstory, set immediately previous to "Intermezzo", and probably incomprehensible read as a standalone. ^^; Seraphita is the female half of Crawford's debriefing team, if that helps - I expect it won't.

Also, literature in-jokes for my personal amusement, because I never really expected anyone else to see this. Oi vey.
