No spoilers, really
Jun. 22nd, 2003 05:41 amYes, I'm posting like a right eejit at five-thirty in the morning because I finished the book - I need to set it down before I get contaminated by everyone else's views. It's brilliant. That is to say, I'm now a ball of utter misery. But the book is brilliant. From an adult reader's point of view (certainly not from a child's, unless you subscribe to the CLAMP Method Of Child Rearing, in which case by all means provide this book to your wide-eyed nine-year-olds), it's the best one so far.
I'm still miserable, though.
...And now I have to write a note to my sister that will convey - sans spoiler - that she will want to kill something after she's done. She's not as good at dissociating as I am, and her displeasure manifests itself through far more extroverted methods.
