Feb. 24th, 2003 12:20 amEntertainment update: I think I will finish the Ladytron show recap I half-started on pitas, after all. But not tonight. Tonight I really want my bed.
HnG update: am halfway through chapter 168. (*runrun* must... *pantpant* catch up... *gaspgasp* with Jump... *falls down*) Yashiro looks like HxH's Hisoka afflicted with a severe case of adulthood, but there's not much Obata-sensei can throw at me in the way of character designs that would surprise me anymore. It would be instructive to see what he chooses to draw after this series wraps, à la Inoue-sensei's Vagabond. My money is currently on Heian supernatural horror-mystery shoujo.
It may well be that Akira needs someone his own age with whom to be immature more than he needs someone his own age with whom to play go. Stone, two birds, hey.
I have this twisted fondness for Ochi. He brings to mind all the naturally abrasive know-it-all nerds I've known in my life, who weren't well-socialised enough to know when or why to shut up instead of telling the truth.
What the heck is Touya Koyo doing with his life, again?
Kurata reminds me of Porthos - the smart Japanese version. I can't be alone in this.
Does anyone else find the Hokuto guy a bit, um, creepy? In a corporate eye-on-the-bottom-line sort of way. I keep expecting him to hold up the photos of Japan Junior Team and say, "looks are all very well, but can they sing?"
