And now for the questions that went with the meme
Yeah, the whole "ask me for an essay" bit was sort of irresponsible considering I probably won't have time to write essays. XD; Have expanded on some of the shorter ones in comments, though - and there's the following.
1. Why do you dislike #11 so much?
Comment here, if the original response wasn't categorical enough. There's a little subjectivity there too, there always is: personally I have to fight the tendency to say that anyone who gives themselves over to another without a clear assurance of reciprocity deserves what they get. Not reciprocity, even, just leverage. And if I don't make myself sit down and realize I'm bringing my own crazy-ass bullshit to the table, I can't stand to look at people like Momo or Hardin, anymore than I can stand to look at someone who's got one leg dangling off a cliff and doesn't realize it.
2. Who do you know that ships #13?

3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3?
Ahaha. Uhm... I've never thought about it. I read large slash fandoms so other people can do the heavy lifting for me! Something that's already been written fifty times over, in all likelihood. MULTICOLOURED KRYPTONITE.
4. What is your favorite moment for #1?
Favorite Ban/Ginji moment over the course of 39 volumes? GEEZ WHY NOT PULL UP A CHAIR. The one that comes to mind this precise second is the conversation where Ban finally tells Ginji what happened between him and Yamato, in volume 28 or something like that - it's just a perfectly understated and satisfying scene, not the big dramatic reveal we'd been sort of expecting.
5. How long have you been following couple #6?
Since I watched the last half of season 1, which was like... six years ago. Good grief.
6. What's the story with #8? What made you stop caring?

...Seriously, I think the fandom just ran its course after a while. XD; The two fics I considered deliverables were about Yuuta and Oshitari.

Today it's Kurogane/Fai, because the manga's still ongoing.
8. You have the power to make one ship non-existent. Choose from #10 or #12.
Deffo Aya/Ken. I'd never voluntarily reduce the amount of Vagrant Story fic in the world, and most of the Sydney/Hardin is well-written, whereas I figure there was a lot of bad Aya/Ken in with the good.I don't actually know, because I never read it. DUE TO O'ERWEENING BOREDOM.
9. What interests you about #14?
The fact that I've been listening to these albums a lot and for some reason this is how my mind works? (Also, I'm fascinated by talent.) I should start a music blog where, instead of reviews, I write RPS stories that are metaphors for reviews. Every once in a while I'll take a round of drabble requests that are all 100 words in the style of Robert Christgau.
......Actually, I probably should do this.
10. When did you stop liking #7?
ON ICE, like I said. As I remember it, one day in the middle of reading I just put the book down and went, "I have to do something else with my life." And never picked it up again after that. XD;
11. Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the series?
NO, THE SERIES KILLED #9, THROW ME A BONE HERE, DO I HAVE TO DRAW A GRAPH.
12. What's a song that reminds you of #5?

13. Which of these ships do you love the most right now?
B/G because it's uppermost in my mind, or KuroFai because CLAMP's wrapping it up and they've delivered on all the potential that was there, in their uhh inimitable fashion. ...Actually, what's uppermost in my mind is Felix/Mildmay due to having read The Virtu only last night. Have you noticed that I enjoy stories about intense but not necessarily (or even preferably) sexual sibling bonds? Or that Sarah Monette enjoys KICKING ME WITH STEEL-TOED BOOTS? No? Well, carry on then.
14. Which do you dislike the most?
Probably Aizen/Momo, though to continue with the theme I might get behind it if I had some assurance that the story will end with somebody being set on fire from the inside out. And I don't mean Ichigo solves the problem because he's the shounen hero and it's his job to do so; that doesn't cut the sauce.
15. If you could have any of these pairings double date, who would they be?
sub_divided pointed out that I tend to ship pairings that wouldn't spontaneously make out, or by that same token, go on a date. XD; And nothing's striking me in particular? Maybe Dorian/Klaus and Kurogane/Fai, for the hilarity, except then the group would just split down the middle with 50% reinforcing each other in the belief that "date" is in no way related to their activities and plans for the evening. And maybe have a nice conversation about metal polish.
16. Have #2 kissed yet? Elaborate if yes.
A very good question! We'd all like to know the answer to that. It's hard to say; after all THEY COULD HAVE JUST BEEN PLAYING GO THE WHOLE TIME.

Maybe? We seem to be over the hump? OSHI DON'T JINX IT I'm crossing my fingers and my toes and my legs at the ankles and.
18. What would make you start shipping #14?
For more than two people to be in on the conversation? No, I know, you're all just waiting to see if I'm actually going to start ficcing Pitchfork indie-ists as if they were Japanese boybands. 'T'sokay, 't's cool, I can deal.
19. If only one could happen, which would you prefer--#2 or #6?
...Define "happen"? In canon? It's never going to happen in canon. And, uh, I'm not sure. XD; Hikaru/Akira would be less problematic, I suspect, but Ryousuke/Takumi would make a better story. Let alone Ryousuke/Keisuke. But all that is a bit effed up.
20. You have the power to decide the fate of #10. What happens to them?
Oh boy, I've been waiting for someone to make me Supreme Deity of Yazzverse! LET'S START AT THE BEGINNING AND WORK OUR WAY DOWN THE LIST. ...Yeah, pretty much. While I'm at it, Tia and Marco are still alive, and Joshua gets a pony for Christmas.
