Hi! Thank you very much for buying "Finder no sekiyoku" this time around.
The "Finder" series is up to its third volume, but Asami and Akihito's story always happens in oneshots, so every time I cop out and make it end with Akihito being eaten up by Asami. *laughs* It's the first time I've done such a long serialisation. *sweatdrop*
When you get down to it this series started as a rape/humiliation kink thing, so it can't really be fluffy outside of omake episodes, but because the fans seem to appreciate the sort of hard-edged relationship Asami and Akihito have where they're not really together but not apart either, I'd like to be able to continue drawing it without destroying that balance. Though I keep worrying that there's not enough lovey-dovey sex or that I've made Asami's face too scary. But he's always extremely popular in the magazine survey; interesting how there must be lots of young misses out there willing to drop into hell with Asami. *laughs* To everyone who lends their support in every issue, thank you very much! I am also truly grateful to my editor, my assistants who always help me get the draft out at the last second, and the printers for whom I do nothing but cause trouble. *hearts, sweats* Speaking of which, after the Japan arc ended, some of the Feilong fans from abroad sent emails and letters that said "Feilong-sama isn't the kind of person to do something like that T_T" and other sad comments of the sort, so I was on tenterhooks as to what the reaction in Japan would be, but when the survey for NT5 came in it was full of squees and fanart for Feilong (it's usually mostly Asami-centric ^^;). The feel of it was like, Fei Long now super-popular? Why the difference in temperature... it's a mystery to me. *sweatdrop* Maybe if you liked younger!Feilong the way he was in "Kourou no hana" you'd think he's become quite eccentric. But I like him better the way he is now, even in the role of Asami's enemy. If it weren't so the pleasure of getting involved with Asami *trails off into coughs* In the last chapter when Akihito went spinning like a top between Asami and Feilong, kiss kiss kill kill, I kind of got the feeling that was his fate henceforward. *laughs*
With this series I'm constantly worried as to whether I'm drawing what the readers want to see, so when it's compiled into volumes I get nervous. *sweatdrops* I don't get this with lighthearted comedies, but like Asami is evil and Feilong is evil so... *laughs* The only mitigating factor is Takaba's ass at half apiece.
The Hong Kong arc begins with the next chapter in the 2005 winter issue. As always Takaba is a prisoner etc. Story hasn't advanced a bit.
Please to await the further adventures of Takaba's ass (so wrong)

Coming on the heels of that 'spinning like a top' statement I find this superbly funny, I'm not really sure why. xD I kind of like young Fei better, but it does make sense that Yamane-sensei doesn't; I kind of had the feeling off NT5 that the story seemed to be setting Fei up as a pro-Asami/Takaba device.

I love my mangaka when they laugh at their uke's pain *koffs* I don't want to speculate 'cos it will only hurts, thus, I shall await and see. Though, 3some hopes seem to be once more aflamed!
(I admit I wasn't really surprised that she likes the new FeiLong better, to tell the truth I prefer this version than the old, and I really can't tell you why. What I would like is some nice prolonged interaction between the present Asami & FeiLong ^_^)

That's kind of depressing, actually. If things are never going to change between Asami and Takaba, what's the point of reading the story? For me at least, I have trouble seeing one. : ( I guess this next arc will show what she intends.

The only thing that worrys me is that in her strive to please her every fan the original storyline will get neglected (if there was any in the first place >>)
