In Greece you also have to buy bottled water every time, but it's cheap. (Greece does the decorative-public-water-fountain thing too.)

I'm with those elderly couples, traveling alone is impressive. Maybe you don't have to get the packaged deal, but there's a huge difference between going alone and going with even one other person.
