Yep, Jolyne's mom is American afaik; they live in Florida. So Jolyne is only 1/4 Japanese. XD;
The funny thing is that the guy asking all these POINTED PLOT QUESTIONS in the manner of a true dorky fanboy...was the director of the JoJo OVAs. On the DVDs (you should at least check out the six old ovas, they're fun XD) the director interviewed araki, and it's both interesting to hear the discussion AND it's hilarious to see what a huge fanboy the director is!'
