Well, now that I've seen The Avengers I don't think they stick very close to SHIELD post-movie, is the thing. XD It was one of the things I had to edit for.
That being said, you can about predict what happens in Marvel Movieverse at this point, because all signs point to WEEKLY JUMP LOGIC. As follows:
-- Iron Man 3 is the post-arc hero's upgrade storyline (since Tony is the Red Ranger, for good or for ill) --Thor 2... I actually think is meant to settle the character arc with Thor and Loki, which signally wasn't done in The Avengers, but my guess it'll be the proper intro of next mega villain + next McGuffin as well --Guardians of the Galaxy is the post-arc allies intro, i.e. like the Visoreds in Bleach --Captain America 2 is the post-arc character backstory stuff, i.e. what all the fangirls actually suffered through the fights in Bleach for --Avengers 2: basically, the tournament arc.
So maybe I could just, like... make a bunch of predictions and see if I look like a complete genius in 2014 or if I'm totally beyond the pale. XDD
