Is everyone up late again? XD XD

1) Watching Bleach. Still in the 40s. If you had asked I would not have said that I'd forgotten how annoying Byakuya was, precisely, and yet I find myself reminded anew. (It's not the bad kind of annoying; that's Mayuri. Still I know exactly how long it's gonna be until someone does me the favour of even slightly dislodging the stick up Byakuya, and... it's long.)

2) Rewriting 20/20. =_= Second half posted tonight or tomorrow.

3) Administering SSBB. I haven't calculated dates beyond no.4, but at some point I'd like to do a f/f issue. Charmian and I were discussing the controversy at one time and I said one's best recourse in such instances is to be pro-active; the example I gave was that I could personally take a drabble request for f/f pairings but I think this is cleverer and more fun for all. XD 5.5, perhaps, a summer bonus issue (ah, summer...).

I'd also like to compile that SSBB mix I mentioned. It would be My Present To The Team. I picture it with that Ministry of Sound sort of glossy cartoon art, but they only ever have girls.

4) Night before last I finally watched Tokyo Godfathers - no better time of year. XD Entirely sentimental, more than I expected, but it's supposed to be a Christmas fairytale so why not? You can see Satoshi Kon's favoured character design style swinging from Millennium Actress's rigorous realism back to 'deforme', progressing again in Paranoia Agent.

5) Translating that Yamane Ayano freetalk thing.

6) Crap, I was supposed to make a GetBackers post, wasn't I?

Oh, and this. XD

Dream Cream )

Dream Time Balm )

Flying Fox )

Champagne Snow Showers )

Karma Bath Bomb )

I'll probably get a few more bath bombs and bubble bars (the holiday ones before they disappear). I'm planning on cocooning in January, and baths encourage me to come home early and read more. XD I finished that Mario Vargas Llosa essay collection in the bath, though I was woozy by the end.

...I just wanted to translate it so other people can have fuel for speculation. XD

Watched Brokeback Mountain with sororial unit and Cedric. I... think I'm the only person I know who wasn't depressed by it. XD;; Most people seem to either weep buckets (sister) or go "Well, that was a downer," (Ced) but I came away with this quiet feeling. Like watching Mushishi (and then I had to take five minutes to explain Mushishi to my sister).

What I told my sister afterwards )

She said I had a very optimistic take on it. XD

I don't know if I believe "'Tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all." But it's a question with which I struggle all the time, a central conundrum of my philosophy - were I to have a philosophy.

In other news, I can't get my DVD burner to burn. = =+ It reads fine, but when it comes to burning it either rejects the disc or locks into a spin cycle until the OS crashes. I have a feeling the driver didn't install right, but it didn't come with a driver, so.
